Release Weekend: Last Man Standing

The book I didn't plan to write is releasing this weekend. Monday August 22nd is the scheduled release date and for the first time in my self publishing career I've stuck to the date. Mostly.

By mostly I mean that after a minor kickback for formatting issues, Amazon has accepted the manuscript and it has gone into publishing mode. It should be released at midnight Sunday night. For those of you who pre-ordered it, you should get it first.

It's also in pre-order mode on iBooks, but with a release date of the 20th. I've hit publish on Barnes and Noble (Nook) because it can take up to three days for them to release a book and they don't allow pre-orders (at least not for lowly ol' indie me). I'm holding All Romance until one of the other sites goes live...but yes, it will be live everywhere by Sunday midnight. I hope, I've never done a pre-order sale before and I've seen where other authors have had the original holder manuscript published instead of the finished manuscript. If you don't have a table of contents or a copyright page, it's not the finished manuscript. So worried about that.

Also if you really really want it early, you can buy it directly from this site for a dollar off right now. Just click the banner link above and look for the cover.

Okay, so about LMS....do you need to read it to read Blindsided later this year? Yes. LMS directly coincides with the beginning of Blindsided. The two new characters are players in the final book and their story is part of that plot. You'll find out why when you read it.

Reviewers: I have one request...please don't spoil the AH HA moment. I'm sure you've had it. Every beta reader had it. That one moment when they all went. AH HA. Don't spoil that.

I'm nervous. This is my 22nd published title. It's different from the rest of the series. There's a lot of sex. There is some kink. It's a look at the main players from outside eyes.

I hope you like it.

Buy links that are live are listed on the book's title page above. Other links will come available as the book goes live there.

Mercy Celeste

Mercy Celeste is the pen name and super hero persona of mild mannered MJ Colbert....which is bull, I'm not mild mannered. I was, in fact, raised in a barn—or several. We even had grain silos. My motto growing up, anything a boy can do, I'm right behind him doing it just as well or better. I've broken too many bones to begin to count. Scraped, skinned or scarred pretty much everything that can be scraped, skinned or scarred. How I'm still walking and talking is a miracle.

So about the writing, well, I don't really consider myself to be a writer. I'm a storyteller, and when I have a story to tell, it won't rest until it's twisted me up and purged itself. The result is at times comical or tragic, depending on the people who live in my head and what they have to say. Most days that's not a lot of anything. Others I can't shut them up. They especially love when I'm driving, oh, yeah, a drive across town is a lesson in how not to get myself killed or be pulled over for reckless driving. And those are the good days.

Welcome to my crazy world, if it's boring now, wait five minutes, and don't blink. Things have a tendency to get interesting around me.
